New Ember Valley Extract Line Hitting Stores + A Special Collab With ColdFire

introducing our new line of vaporizor cartridges: available in live and cured resin

We are proud to announce a new line of vaporizor cartridges for the first time in both live resin and cured resin options. If you don't know what that means, you're in the right place!

Cannabis extracts fall into many different categories based on how they’re made. The word resin generally refers to cannabis extracts made using hydrocarbon extraction which utilizes a solvent such as butane or CO2 to produce a cannabis concentrate that can be dabbed or vaped. Live resin means the material used to make the resin was frozen immediately after harvest to preserve the most terpenes and make for the most flavorful smoking experience. Cured resin means the material was dried and cured before being processed, producing a more full-bodied and medicinal effect depending on the strains.

Ember Valley has hand-selected strains to be used in each form of extraction based on their taste, effects, terpene profile and other traits proprietary to each cultivar, which is a fancy word that just means strain. Our leadership team has years of experience in the cannabis space as cultivators, curators and processors which gives us a competitive edge when it comes to putting a good cartridge together. For instance, Ember Valley co-founder Rob Young has been a judge for the Emerald Cup for years, specifically in the vape category. The Emerald Cup is widely considered one of the most competitive and longest-running cannabis competitions in California.

“I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge being a Judge for the Emerald Cup in the vape category the past few years. The ability to review and test hundreds of different products with multiple industry experts was game changing,” Young said. “Looking at a variety of different types of hardware, packaging and extracts helped mold and refine the vision for what became the Ember Valley cartridge.”

Ember Valley cartridges are made using TPK cartridges. TPK hardware uses only very high grade materials for their vape cartridges. We chose to use these as the delivery system for our precious resin because they have ceramic coils, medical glass tanks and a triple intake hole system that makes for a very safe, clean and smooth smoking experience. Cheaper cartridge hardware options tend to utilize metal coils and cheaper glass chambers which can result in easily broken cartridges and unwanted heavy metals transferring to the smoke.

Now because Ember Valley doesn’t process our own resin in house, we send our high grade indoor cannabis to Sacramento to have Paper Planes extract it for us. Paper Planes has an impeccable reputation when it comes to cannabis extraction and they have won multiple awards for their work. Between their proprietary extraction process, the high quality hardware used in TPK cartridges, and Ember Valley’s line of exclusive in-house flavors, we’re confident our vapes will exceed expectations across the board.

“Ember Valley has always been one of the premier flower producers in California,” Ember Valley President Chris Morsette said. “We wanted to elevate our unique flavors and hard work by maximizing the way people can consume our product. Ember Valley has teamed up with the best extraction group in the state to bring the best expression of our strains to a cartridge. We also are committed to using the best hardware possible to bring one of the most fire cartridges in the industry.”

If you’ve been paying attention to Ember Valley lately, you’ll know we’ve recently opened up a manufacturing facility where we make our own live rosin from our top shelf indoor flower. Live rosin is made through solventless extraction, meaning we don’t use any hydrocarbons like butane in the process - just ice water and agitation.

This makes for a smoking experience like no other, and you can already find jars of our live rosin at your local dispensary. But we wanted to share some exciting news. Our live rosin will very soon be available in vape cartridges for an extremely easy and highly discreet smoking experience on the go or at home. Stay tuned for future updates from the team on when those will hit the market.

As a brand known mainly for flower, we’re very proud to be dropping so much heat for the concentrate market. It’s the culmination of years of hard work, sweat, tears and painstaking pheno hunts that only truly experienced cultivators and connoisseurs could pull off. It’s what sets us apart from the rest of the pack and keeps our customers coming back. You can’t fake the heat!
