Ember Valley Expands Options for THCA Diamond Infused Pre-Rolls
When it comes to infused pre-rolls, the consumer tends to be faced with a disorienting amount of options when they walk into their local dispensary.
Unfortunately, an alarming number of these options tend to be a shining example of the phrase “putting lipstick on a pig.” That is to say, companies cut corners by using old or sub-par flower (or shake for that matter) and disguise it with extract so the newer consumer won’t know the difference.
One Gram Single-Sourced Diamond Infused Pre-Roll
At Ember Valley, we don’t put lipstick on anything. We grow fire and we don’t cut corners. As such, our pre-rolls are all single source meaning all of the inputs come from us, including the extract used in our THCA diamond pre-rolls, not to mention our high-grade indoor flower grown in beautiful Shasta County, CA.

Consumer be advised: these pre-rolls are a testament to potency. These things really pack a punch. They’re also strain specific, meaning the same strain of flower used in each pre-roll is used for the extract as well. This delivers the consumer an enhanced but also consistent experience, meaning you can appreciate the taste and high of a particular strain of our premium cannabis flower with an added kick of extract derived from the same strain. Oftentimes when brands combine one strain of flower with an extract made either from mixed or different material the experience can become conflicting, meaning the highs don’t mesh well with one another. This is why we choose not to cut corners by using the same material for both the extract and flower components of our pre-rolls, ensuring a powerful and consistent experience all around.
The extract we use in these pre-rolls is THCA diamonds, a particular method of extraction which differs from live resin or live rosin. THCA is the precursor if you will to Delta-9 THC which is what consumers are most familiar with. The experience is unique from extracts used in other pre-rolls and, not for nothing, but the extract actually looks like diamonds. It’s a beautiful expression of the cannabis plant which is up to 99% THCA. The following explanation from Leaflettes, the extraction company we work with to produce the THCA used in our pre-rolls, explains the difference:
“THCA is a non-psychoactive acidic cannabinoid that serves as the precursor to Δ9-THC. THCA interacts with many of the same receptors as Δ9-THC, suggesting it can provide similar therapeutic benefits. However, THCA has higher bioavailability making it a more powerful therapeutic for a variety of instances.”
Leaflettes uses solventless water extraction to make this extract, meaning no volatile chemicals are used in the process which produces a clean, pure extract with no troublesome or harmful solvents left in the final product. In other words, it’s a pre-roll you can trust.
We opted to put the extract on the inside of the pre-roll as well, which makes for a much better end experience for the user. Pre-rolls with extract on the outside might look flashier but more often than not they fall apart during the smoking process or, in many cases, the extract ends up melting off the joint. This not only wastes perfectly good extract that could otherwise be put to better use in your lungs but getting wax out of your clothes is unbelievably difficult and not a task we would wish on anybody, but especially not our customers.
Putting the extract inside the joint ensures all those delicious cannabinoids get burned consistently and efficiently. We’ve had these pre-rolls on our menu for a while now, but we’ve expanded the line to include a single 1G pre-roll and a 5-pack of .5G pre-rolls to give our consumers some options whereas previously these pre-rolls were only available in a two pack.
